Dr. Craig McCormick

Biography

Craig McCormick is a professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Dalhousie University. His research is focused on innate host antiviral defenses and the viral countermeasures that have evolved to subvert these defenses. Dr. McCormick’s lab primarily studies influenza viruses, coronaviruses and a cancer-causing herpesvirus known as KSHV. In 2016, McCormick co-founded the Canadian Society of Virology, an organization that fosters and supports virology research across Canada.
