Our Partners

The Canadian Immunization Research Network (CIRN) is a collaborative national research network that brings together more than 150 investigators from 58 institutions across Canada. CIRN comprises eight sub-networks built to provide research capacity that is responsive and scalable to undertake research during an infectious disease crisis such as a pandemic and to provide public health with Canadian-relevant vaccine-related research for public health decision-making. CIRN undertakes clinical research, surveillance and epidemiological research, and public health program evaluation.

A national active surveillance network based in pediatric hospitals to monitor adverse events following immunization, vaccine failures, and selected infectious diseases in children that are, or are soon to be, vaccine-preventable. 

POPCORN brings together researchers, clinicians, and patient partners to form a pan-Canadian pediatric research platform and answer essential questions in child health. While created in response to COVID-19, the platform will provide the infrastructure to prepare for future pandemics or any child health issues of importance.  

ACT’s mandate is to advance equitable access to trials for all Canadians. CCfV is one of 11 Clinical Trial Units within ACT dedicated to advancing clinical research, fostering collaborations, and ensuring excellence in trial design and execution.

CoVaRR Net rapidly answer critical and immediate questions regarding variants, such as their increased transmissibility, likelihood to cause severe cases of COVID-19, and resistance to vaccines.

Canada’s Immuno-Engineering and Biomanufacturing Hub (CIEBH) is a new UBC-led national research hub aimed at strengthening Canada’s pandemic preparedness and developing lifesaving new medicines that will transform the health of Canadians.

In close coordination with other CBRF hubs, the ECaPPH will create a national ecosystem that is a major global contributor to the detection of upcoming emerging threats and the development of appropriate national responses in the event of a pandemic. 

The Canadian Pandemic Preparedness Hub (CP2H) is a network that will ensure that Canadian discoveries are turned into the medicines of tomorrow in a cost-effective, timely fashion. 

CCfV is part of the Canadian Biomanufacturing Cooperative (CBC) subnetwork, which will function as a coordinated and harmonized network of Canada’s most experienced, early-phase biomanufacturing facilities.  

CIRN, and by extension, CCfV, is an outlet for clinical trials of emerging technologies and a contributor to Platform 5 of the hub: Cross-Cutting Social Sciences Strategies.

Immunize Canada is a national coalition of non-governmental, professional, health, government, and private sector organizations with a specific interest in promoting the understanding and use of vaccines recommended by the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI). The Immunize Canada Secretariat is run by a dedicated team at the Canadian Public Health Association.

CAIRE promotes collaboration and networking across the disciplines of vaccinology and knowledge translation, so Canadians have timely access to new and improved vaccines and optimal immunization programs.
