Phase 2 clinical trial of a Haemophilus influenzae serotype a (Hia) vaccine in adults

An investigational vaccine against Haemophilus influenzae serotype A (Hia) will be tested in this study in healthy individuals from the general population. The study aims to determine the safety and immunogenicity (effectiveness) of the vaccine.
Haemophilus influenzae serotype A (Hia) is a type of bacteria that can cause serious illness. Another type of this bacteria, Serotype B (Hib) was a leading cause of meningitis and other illnesses such as pneumonia and bloodstream infections in children until a Hib vaccine was introduced worldwide. Hia can cause similar illness.
