Have you received a smallpox vaccine, mpox vaccine, or no poxvirus vaccine? If so, you may be eligible to participate in a research study at the Canadian Center for Vaccinology (CCfV) located at the IWK Hospital.

Purpose

We are conducting a study to compare the immune response to those who received a Mpox (formerly known as monkeypox) vaccine (Imvamune®),
a smallpox vaccine (those born between 1948-1975), or no poxvirus vaccine.

About Mpox

Mpox was formerly known as monkeypox.

Participation Criteria

  • If you have received a Mpox vaccine, a smallpox vaccine, no smallpox vaccine (born between 1948-1975), or no Mpox vaccine
  • Are able to travel to the IWK for a one-time study appointment

Participation Details

  • A 50 mL (~3.3 tablespoons) blood draw
  • A short questionnaire (5-10 minutes)
  • Participants who complete the study visit will receive a small honorarium as a thank you for their time and interest
