Audrey Steenbeek PhD
As Associate Professor in Dalhousie’s School of Nursing, with a cross appointment in the Department of Community Health & Epidemiology, Dr. Steenbeek’s vaccine-related research has recently focused on informed consent issues in school-based immunization programs for human papilloma virus (HPV). Having already published on the need for clear and consistent language to inform the public about the physical risks of HPV immunization, she is now working with post graduate students to evaluate the effects of social inequalities and program delivery on vaccine uptake.
