Project Manager (Qualitative Research Focus)

 

The Project Manager will manage the planning, implementation, and completion of research studies, and work closely with the Principal Investigator and project team members to facilitate project communications, collect data, conduct data analyses, and synthesize/report findings.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the planning, implementation, and completion of research projects
  • Working with the project team, delivery partners and vendors to ensure all project deliverables are completed and the milestones are met
  • Conducting scientific literature searches including abstracting data from published sources, summarizing articles and maintaining a bibliographic database
  • Conducting site visits and collecting qualitative and quantitative information through key informant interviews and focus groups as well as standardized instrument data collection with research participants
  • Performing data collection and analytics for qualitative and quantitative research methods
  • Organizing, communicating and evaluating team objectives and progress of project
  • Providing leadership in developing study-related documents, which may include protocols, ethics correspondence, investigator files and informed consent documents (in accordance with CCfV’s Standard Operating Procedures)
  • Assisting in the preparation of grants and production of reports, manuscripts, and presentations
  • Recruiting participants for studies

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in related health, education, or social sciences field
  • 3+ years of relevant experience within a university, hospital, or comparable institution
  • Experience with software related to qualitative analysis, such as NVivo (required)
  • Successful completion of Research Design and Qualitative Analysis Methods (or equivalent) courses strongly preferred
  • Proven expertise/experience in research methods, research design, and program evaluation
  • Experience in  a research setting strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, MS Project)

Status: 1.0 FTE (37.5 hours/week)

Pay Scale:$55,569 – $67,794 per annum plus benefits, commensurate with experience

Duration: 1 year term with possibility of renewal
